Asia Cup 2025, IND vs BAN: Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India pulled off another impressive performance to continue its unbeaten run in the ongoing Asia Cup, securing a 41-run victory over Bangladesh and advancing to the final. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav came to the fore with his impressive figures of 3/18 in his four-over spell.

Team India's analyst Hari Mohan Prasad awarded Kuldeep with the team's Impact Player of the Match medal. In a video released by the Board of Cricket Control in India, the analyst was full of praise for his variations.

“The Impact Player Award goes to someone who showcased serious skills with the ball. In modern-day T20 cricket, not many players display spin, drift, and dip with such remarkable consistency. So, the award goes to none other than, Kuldeep Yadav," said Mohan.

“Overall, it was a good game. With the ball, Hardik and Bumrah were excellent. As spinners, our job was to control the middle overs and pick the middle-order wickets. We did well. The intensity was good and let’s carry the same in the next game," Kuldeep said after bagging the ‘Impact Player’ medal.

Rings Of Fire In Dubai Troubling: Varun Chakravarth

India have been relatively poor in their catching, as they have dropped a total of 12 catches with an efficiency rate of 67.5 per cent, the second-lowest among all participating nations. Chakravarthy emphasised the need to capitalise on the opportunities, but the stadium's "rings of fire" certainly act as a distraction.

"You can't give excuses at this level. As a team, we have to definitely start catching those because we will be qualifying for the finals. We should be taking these catches, but definitely, if you ask me about rings of fire, it comes in the eye, something. It is a little bit of disturbance," Chakravarthy told reporters in the post-match press conference after India's 41-run victory.

After India's second victory over Pakistan in the tournament, India captain Suryakumar Yadav reflected on the fielding woes and jokingly said, "The fielding coach T Dilip has emailed the boys with butter on their fingers to appear before him."

Chakravarthy said T Dilip didn't critique much about their last outing, but this time he would certainly have a word or two to say and said, "It is a mission to the World Cup. We have to pick up our fielding, and definitely, the fielding coach has a lot to say. Last match, he didn't say much, but this match, I think he will have a lot to say."
