Australia vs Pakistan Highlights, World Cup 2023: Warner, Zampa, Marsh Star As AUS Beat PAK By 62 Runs

Australia defeat Pakistan by 62 runs to notch up consecutive wins in the ODI World Cup 2023.

Shoddy batting from Pakistan! Make no mistake, this was achievable on a pitch like this which offers nothing for bowlers. PAK are 8 down with 80 required off 41 balls.

Muhammed Rizwan's resistance ends as Pakistan lose a big wicket. This is now too much to ask for Pakistan's lower order. Usama Mir is the new batter in. PAK need 94 off 54 balls.

What a review from Australia. The dangerous Iftikhar Ahmed departs and much to the dismay of Pakistan. He was looking brilliant on this track. PAK 269/5 (38.5)

Saud Shakeel miscues one and Pakistan have lost a big wicket. Muhammed Rizwan has to play till the end if Pakistan wishes to achieve this. PAK 232/4 (34.2)

This is a proper T20 game now. Saud Shakeel and Rizwan are in the middle and are keeping the run-rate in check with occasional boundaries.

Body blow to Pakistan as captain Babar Azam is back in the hut. Saud Shakeel is the new batter in. He has to play his shots. The runs have to come else required run-rate will shoot up. PAK 179/3 (27.2)

Marcus Stoinis is creating inroads in the Pakistan batting line-up. Imam-ul-Haq is the latest to depart after playing an effective knock of 70. Muhammed Rizwan is the new batter in. PAK 159/2 (24)

Abdullah Shafique departs after a well made 64. He has done what was required off him. Marcus Stoinis gets the first wicket. PAK 134/1 (21.2)

This has been a confident start from the Pakistan openers. Australians have introduced spinners from both the ends.

That is dropped! Sean Abbott must be kicking himself to see that go down. Pedestrian fielding. Abdullah Shafique marches on. This is an excellent start from Pakistan.

A good couple of boundaries to start off the innings for Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq. This is a belter of a pitch and the out-field is fairly quick.

Hello and welcome to the live cricket coverage of the 2nd innings of the World Cup 2023 match between Australia and Pakistan here at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.

Shaheen Afridi picked a five-wicket haul after David Warner (163) and Mitchell Marsh (121) showed their class in the innings to take Australia to 367/9 in 50 overs. Pakistan made a good comeback in the match in the middle overs after a blitz from the openers.

Wicket! It's raining wickets at the moment. He hit that straight to the fielder. Labuschagne smashed that hart but didn't get much elevation and found the fielder in the deep who made no mistake. He departs for 8 as Australia lose seventh wicket.

Wicket! Australia have lost the way here and are losing wickets in quick succession. Stoinis tried to play it behind the wicket but completely missed out on the ball and was caught in front. The sixth wicket goes down as he departs for 21.

Australia Live Score: 354/6 (47.1)

Wicket! Haris Rauf has taken his second wicket of the match as he removes Josh Inglis for 13. There was a confident appeal from behind the wicket but the umpire decided to give not out. They took a review and there was a glove there as Inglish already had started walking. The fifth wicket goes down.

Australia Live Score: 339/5 (44.2)

Haris Rauf ends Warner's 163-run innings in the 43rd over to give big relief to Pakistan. Josh Inglis joins Stoinis in the middle for the final flourish.

Australia Live Score: 330/4 (43)

David Warner is in a different league today as he completes 150 off 116 balls. He reached the milestone with a 79-meter six over Usama Mir to also bring 300 runs to the scoreboard.

Australia Live Score: 319/3 (42)

Australia lose another wicket as spinner Usama Mir removes Steve Smith on seven in the 39th over. Pakistan are holding their grip in the final over of the innings. Marcus Stoinis joins David Warner in the middle.

Australia Live Score: 291/3 (39)

Wicket! Can you believe it? Shaheen has taken two in two out of nowhere and suddenly Australia are two down now. Maxwell tried to counter with an attacking shot but just managed to hit it long rather than far. Found the fielder who made no mistake.

Wicket! Shaheen breaks the partnership. A very unusual position to find a fielder but Marsh has to go here. First wicket goes down as he departs for 121.

This has been a very poor display of fielding from Pakistan. Another catch dropped! Nothing has been going Pakistan's way as of now. An early and massive error on the field has led to a massive partnership between these two batters. The Babar Azam-led side is way behind in the game as of now.

David Warner gets to his 21st ODI hundred in just 85 balls. Mitchell Marsh also gets to a 100 as he reaches his 2nd ODI hundred. Pakistan bowlers wait for a single wicket continues! AUS 214/0 (31)

There has been reduction in the run-rate as Pakistan have operated more with the spinners but the runs have come. Australia are 150 up already with no loss. AUS 158/0 (21)

Bengaluru crowd is being treated to a spectacle by Mitchell Marsh and David Warner. Pakistan bowlers, on the other hand, have no clue how to go about.

After the end of 10 overs, Australia have picked up their run-rate with David Warner being the aggressor. Pakistan need a wicket soon else this pitch in Bengaluru has never been kind to bowlers.

With seam movement on offer, Shaheen and Hasan have made the ball talk. IN THE AIR!!! Usama Mir drops a simple catch. Shaheen has his hands on knees.

"We would have had a bowl as well. The energy was awesome even though they had a big partnership. The intent from our guys was excellent. The way we played against Lanka, we should do the same. The same. Everyone good to go."

"We will bowl first. The pitch looks really good. We have had a couple of good sessions. We are hoping to do well. We need to do well in batting. We will try our best. Shadab is not playing. Usama comes in."

Pakistan have win the toss and have opted to bowl first against Australia in the match 18 of the ODI World Cup 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Fakhar Zaman is unavailable for the Australia match while Agha Salman is recovering from an illness. The only change seems to be Pakistan bringing in leg-spinner Usama Mir for Mohammad Nawaz. Mir was impressive against the Aussies in Hyderabad in the warm-up game.

"We've probably given up the right to peak at the right time by losing the first couple but you're always chasing that perfect game. For most of the last game we were really good. But there's always a couple of little areas, again, they had a big partnership upfront. Took us five wickets down to knock over the total so it was a really good game, but there's always little things you can look at," he'd said.
