Ashes 2025: Mitchell Starc, who is currently seen in the second Test at Gabba against England, has scripted history as he has become the first Australian pacer to have taken a six-for in three consecutive Test matches. He had registered figures of 6/9 in the third Test against the West Indies earlier this year, and then in the series opener of the Ashes, he had taken seven wickets and given away 58 runs in 12.5 overs that he bowled. On day 1 of the second Test, Starc again took six wickets during the first innings.

England's Tom Richardson had become the first bowler to take a six-for in three consecutive matches. Way back in 1985, he registered figures of 6/104 against Australia and then registered figures of 6/39 and 7/168 at Lord's and Manchester.

Pakistan's Imran Khan also took a six-for in three consecutive Test matches. During the 1982 series against India, Imran took eight wickets in the second innings and gave away 68 runs, and then registered 6/98 in Faisalabad and 6/35 in Hyderabad.
