IND vs AUS: Ever since India lost the fourth Test match to Australia in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, trouble doesn't seem to end as there are speculations that team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir is having some problems with a few players. Some not-so-junior players in the team of the ongoing series are looking for role clarity as to why they were dropped from the playing XI.
According to PTI, the communication between the team management and the players has been hit rock bottom ever since Gambhir became the head coach and this is something that never happened when Rahul Dravid and Ravi Shastri were in charge.
The Men in Blue have lost five of their seven Test matches and their hopes of reaching their consecutive WTC final looks slim. They have to win the fifth and the last Test match at the SCG.

A BCCI source has reckoned that if Team India's performance doesn't improve then there are high chance that Gambhir's position will be analyzed.
“There is a Test match to be played and then there is Champions Trophy. If the performance doesn’t improve, even Gautam Gambhir’s position wouldn’t be safe," a senior BCCI official told PTI.
He also revealed that the board preferred former legendary batter VVS Laxman to be India's next head coach and that Gambhir was just a "compromise".
“He (Gambhir) was never BCCI’s first choice (it was VVS Laxman) and some of the well-known overseas names didn’t want to coach all three formats, so he was a compromise. Some other compulsions were also there," the official revealed.
Team India's support staff is too under immense pressure as one of the members takes his personal assistance to all venues.
This person has also taken advantage of "Field of Play" access in the IPL which gave him access to the playing area after matches.
A few members of the board aren't happy with his presence in the box.
The Rohit Sharma-led side are trailing in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series by 2-1 and are in a must-win situation while heading to the fifth and the last Test match. If India loses this match, then the hosts won't just win this series for the first time since 2014 but will also qualify for the 2025 WTC summit clash.
South Africa became the first team to qualify for the WTC final for the first time in history.
