AUS-W vs IND-W, 2nd ODI: Australia's star opener Georgia Voll (101) and Ellyse Perry (105) scored match-winning hundreds and helped the hosts win the second ODI by 122 runs on Sunday. While batting first, the Australian women's team displayed their brilliant batting prowess as they posted a mammoth target of 371/8 and thus recorded their highest score in the 50-over format against the Women in Blue. The Indian women's team was then skittled out for just 249 runs in 44.5 overs and went on to win the 2nd ODI quite comfortably.

"We got some partnership in between, we had a positive mindset, but we were short by a few runs. We created a few opportunities but couldn't take them, we should give credit to them for how they batted. We need to think about our plans for how we will be bowling in the next game. We need to bat full 50 overs, we have to come up with better plans", Harmanpreet Kaur told broadcasters in the post-match presentation.

Australia had a flying start as openers Phoebe Litchfield (60) and Voll stitched the match-winning partnership of 130 runs for the first wicket.

Voll along with Ellyse Perry then built another brilliant partnership of 92 runs and then Perry and Beth Mooney (58) built another match-winning partnership of 98 runs and thus left India's bowling lineup stunned.

Voll, who had played in just her 2nd ODI match, had hit 12 fours in her knock of 87 balls, whereas Perry had smashed six sixes and seven fours in her knock of 75 balls.

Indian bowlers Priya Mishra (1/88) and Minnu Mani (2/71) were taken to the cleaners, especially in the partnership for the first wicket. The visitors did bounce back for a short while during the last five overs, where they were able to take wickets but the damage had already been done by then.

Saima Thakor was the pick among the Indian bowlers as she registered figures of 3/62. Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma also took one wicket apiece.

While chasing the mammoth target, opener Richa Ghosh gave the team a flying start as she scored a gritty knock of 54 runs off 72 balls but besides her, India's top order never looked settled.

Batters Smriti Mandhana (9) and Harleen Deol (12) got out early and left the visitors reeling at 45/2 during the 11th over.

Although Richa Ghosh and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (38) did help the Women in Blue bounce back by building a gritty partnership of 66 runs Alana King then took Ghosh's wicket during the 22nd wicket.

After a few overs, Megan Schutt took Harmanpreet's wicket whereas Ashleigh Gardner dismissed Deepti Sharma, who had scored 10 runs and Sophie Molineux dismissed Jemimah Rodrigues.

Minnu Mani also scored a gritty knock of 45 runs off 46 balls in which she hit four fours.

Annabelle Sutherland spearheaded Australia's bowling attack as she registered figures of 4/40.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side did lose the series opener by five wickets. The third and the last ODI will be held in Perth on Wednesday.
