Australia vs South Africa, ICC Women's World Cup 2025: Australia defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in match 26 of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Saturday.
Australia have locked their semifinal clash against India, which is scheduled to be played in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. The Aussies ended their league stage on a high, having thrashed South Africa in all departments and remaining at the top of the points table with six wins and 13 points after 10 matches.
After opting to field first, the defending champions bowled South Africa out for just 97 runs in 24 overs on the back of Alana King's memorable effort. She registered her career-best figures with 7 wickets to her name for just 18 runs in 7 overs. Megan Schutt, Kim Garth and Ashleigh Gardner found a scalp each.
Australia chased down the target in just 16.5 overs with Beth Mooney playing a 42-run knock, whereas Georgia Voll produced an unbeaten contribution of 38 runs in as many balls. This was Australia's 15th consecutive Women's ODI World Cup win as they matched their previous effort.

"I think as a bowler, you don’t always have wickets next to your name, but I know I can play a different role - whether that’s holding down one end while the other bowlers take some wickets. That’s happened in the last couple of games, and I’m happy to play whatever role presents itself, as long as I’m doing my job for Australia and helping put us in a good position," Alana King said after being adjudged as the Player of the Match.
On the other hand, South Africa’s five-match (their longest) winning streak in Women’s World Cups comes to an end today.
India, even if they win against Bangladesh in their final league game on Sunday, can finish no higher than fourth.
