ICC announced the Women's ODI Team of the Year for 2023 in its recent release. The list is dominated by Australian cricketers, with five players included for their exceptional performances in 2023. Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu has been named the captain of the side.

Phoebe Litchfield (Australia):
20-year-old Litchfield impressed with 485 ODI runs, averaging 53.8, including a century and four fifties. She stood out on her maiden India tour, securing the Player of the Series award.\

Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka):
Athapaththu's stellar 140* against New Zealand and two fiery centuries led Sri Lanka to their first bilateral series win against the Kiwis. She also guided Sri Lanka to a 1-0 series win against Bangladesh. She averaged 69.16, accumulating 415 runs in 8 ODIs in 2023.
Ellyse Perry (Australia):
Perry's consistent brilliance included five fifties in 10 innings in 2023. Top-scorer in the Women's Ashes with 185 runs in three ODI innings, Perry contributed to an unassailable lead in the series against India.
Amelia Kerr (New Zealand):
Kerr was the top-scorer in women's ODIs with 541 runs at an average of 67.62. A versatile all-rounder, Kerr also took eight wickets with her leg-breaks.

Beth Mooney (Australia):
Middle-order stalwart Mooney scored 439 runs at an average exceeding 60. She was named the Player of the Series in the series against Pakistan.
Nat Sciver-Brunt (England):
In six ODIs, Sciver-Brunt's outrageous form included three centuries, guiding England to a series win against Australia and clinching the Player of the Series award.
Ash Gardner (Australia):
Gardner was the leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets in 13 ODIs.
Annabel Sutherland (Australia):
Sutherland's lower-order heroics and maiden century in ODIs against Ireland were among her best performances in 2023. She contributed with 13 wickets and 10 catches.
Nadine de Klerk (South Africa):
Impressive as South Africa's star bowler, de Klerk took 16 wickets in nine ODIs at an average of 16.68. She also contributed with the bat, making 181 runs.
Lea Tahuhu (New Zealand):
Tahuhu's nine ODIs in 2023 saw her shine with 15 wickets at an average of 20.86. Moved into the top 10 of the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings.
Nahida Akter (Bangladesh):
Nahida secured 20 wickets in ODIs, the second-highest for the year after Gardner. She played a crucial role in Bangladesh's series victory over Pakistan, excelling in the Super Over.
