AFG vs BAN: Bangladesh made a brilliant comeback and had defeated Afghanistan by 4 wickets during series opener on Friday and are leading the three-math series by 1-0. They had won this match despite Rashid Khan rattling their batting attack by taking a four-fer.
While hasing a target of 152 runs, Bangladesh ha a flying start given by openers Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hassan. They stiched a partnership of 109 runs in 11.3 overs and took the Afghan bowlers to the cleaners. Emon had scored amath-winning knock of 54 runs off 37 balls whereas Tanzid scored 51 off 36, as both the batters smashed half-centuries each.
The Afghanistan fielders were brilliant on the field. Fareed Ahmad did drop Emon's catch and then Rahmanullah Gurbaz too did the same behind the stumps and gave Bangladesh batters a reprieve. Mohammad Nabi was being smashed with sixes whereas Noor Ahmad and Sharafuddin Ashraf let Bangladesh build a partnership of 100 runs.

And just when it looked that the match was slipping away, Rashid helped Afghanistan make a comeback. He first took Saif Hassan's wicket and the got Tanzid out in the same over. He then cameback and dismissed Jaker Ali and Shamim Hossain by lbw and left Bangladesh reeling at 118/5. Noor Ahmad then took Tanzim Hasan's wicket and Bangladesh ha lost its sixth wicket.
And then Nurul Hossain and Rishad Hossain took the the team across the line. Despite the pressure, Nurul played with assurance, striking two crucial sixes in his unbeaten 23. Rishad, who had struggled for form recently, held his nerve to collect three boundaries, including the winning shot, as Bangladesh crossed the line with eight balls to spare.

Earlier, Afghanistan struggled to build momentum after being sent in to bat. They lost three wickets inside the powerplay – Ibrahim Zadran bowled by Nasum Ahmed, Sediqullah Atal caught off Tanzim Hasan, and Darwish Rasooli run out after a mix-up with Gurbaz. The slide continued as Mohammad Ishaq holed out to deep square leg against Rishad.
Though Gurbaz top-scored with grit, Bangladesh’s disciplined bowling prevented Afghanistan from getting away, restricting them to 151. The total looked under-par, especially after Emon and Tanzid’s assault, but Rashid’s brilliance nearly turned the match on its head. In the end, however, Nurul and Rishad ensured Bangladesh’s blushes were saved in a tense finish.
