Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka Head-To-Head, Asia Cup 2025: Bangladesh will be up against Sri Lanka in match 5 of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, September 13.

Both teams are drawn in group B alongside Afghanistan and Hong Kong, China. Bangladesh have been in remarkable form in the shortest format, having won their three previous series. They defeated Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the Netherlands. Bangladesh also have the advantage of having played a match at this venue already as they defeated Hong Kong by 7 wickets.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup when it was last played in the T20 format in 2022.

"Mentally, the fact that we are defending champions is a really good thing," Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka said ahead of his team's first Asia Cup game, against Bangladesh on Saturday. "It was a lot of these players that played in that last tournament here [in the UAE] as well. We know that because we are champions, we can go far. The players are using that as motivation."
