The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced replacements for Rohit Yadav in the India U-19 squads for the upcoming multi-format series against Australia U-19.

Saurashtra's Aryan Savsani and Haryana's Tanmay Baloda have been named as Yadav's replacements in the One-Day and Multi-Day squads respectively.

Yadav had originally been selected in both squads for India's upcoming fixtures against Australia U-19 in Rajkot and Ahmedabad.

However, the BCCI subsequently handed him a two-year ban for allegedly misrepresenting his age.

The BCCI's Junior Cricket Committee confirmed that Savsani will take Yadav's place in the One-Day squad, while Baloda has been drafted into the Multi-Day team.

"The Junior Cricket Committee has named Saurashtra Cricket Association's Aryan Savsani as Rohit Yadav's replacement in India U19's One-Day squad, while Haryana Cricket Association's Tanmay Baloda has been named as his replacement in the Multi-Day squad," the BCCI said.

The board also confirmed that Yadav's withdrawal was linked to the age discrepancy.

"Rohit, who was named in India's U19 squads for the upcoming fixtures against Australia U19 at Rajkot and Ahmedabad, has been withdrawn from the squad due to age discrepancies," the BCCI added.
