IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025: The India vs Pakistan match is one of the most highly awaited clashes in the cricketing world, and this high-octane clash always witnesses high buzz and sold-out tickets, irrespective of the tournament. But this year, the situation is quite different as boycott calls have intensified by the Indian fans, who have slammed the BCCI for playing the match and ignoring the atmosphere in India post the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.
When the schedule was released for this tournament, the Indian fans became quite angry and took to their official social media account and slammed the BCCI for facing Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 tourists were killed.
The Indian Army then retaliated with Operation Sindoor, where they destroyed all the terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. At one point, it looked as though the BCCI would take a strong stand against Pakistan and wouldn't be playing against them during the multi-nation events. But the Indian government gave a green signal for the team to lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan during multi-nation tournaments.

But it looks like the BCCI has calls to boycott on social media. As per a Dainik Jagran report, a lot of the BCCI officials have decided not to attend the match against Pakistan on Sunday. It is being seen as an invisible boycott made by the BCCI.
The report also said that none of the senior BCCI officials has landed in Dubai. But when these two teams had played against each other during the Champions Trophy earlier this year in Dubai, all the BCCI officials had attended that match.
Rajeev Shukla may attend the match
The Dainik Jagran report further revealed that BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal, treasurer Prabhtej Bhatia, and joint secretary Rohan Desai won't be going to Dubai for the match.
Rajeev Shukla, who is the acting president of the BCCI and an executive board member of the ACC, will be reaching Dubai to watch the match. Jay Shah, who is the ICC President, would also be missing this match.
"We agreed to the match after getting permission from the government. If we come on camera during the match, then attempts would be made to create an atmosphere against us," a BCCI official, Dainik Jagran.
The report also said that the BCCI officials would only be shown on camera once the Indian team wins the match.
