DC vs RR IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals meet Delhi Capitals in New Delhi on Sunday. Axar Patel won the toss and elected to bowl.

Riyan Parag has returned to RR's playing XI and will be leading the team from the front post giving the match against Gujarat Titans a miss where Yashasvi Jaiswal led the team from the front. But they got a huge blow as star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been dropped from the playing XI. 

Why Is Ravindra Jadeja Not Playing In DC vs RR Match?

It should be noted here that Jadeja isn't injured but Riyan Parag at the time of the toss revealed that they just wanted to manage his workload and thats why he will give the match against the Axar Patel-led side a miss.

"Tonight, we have one change. Jaddu bhai misses out due to his load management and Ravi Singh debuts for us," Riyan Parag was heard as saying at the toss. 

DC vs RR Toss Update

Speaking of the toss, both the skippers Riyan Parag and Axar Patel came out on the ground for the toss. DC skipper Axar Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first. 

Talking about the changes in the playing XI, Auqib Nabi has been snubbed due to an injury and Tripurana Vijay will be playing his debut IPL match. As far as the Rajasthan-based franchise is concerned, Ravindra Jadeja has been dropped owing to workload management.
