Duleep Trophy 2024: All-rounder Nitish Reddy did not have a superb outing with the bat for India B's Duleep Trophy 2024 opener, but his fielding stole the limelight on the final day against India A in Bengaluru to help his team make a comeback in the game.
Fielding at the second slip Reddy pulled off a splendid diving catch to dismiss Mayank Agarwal after Yash Dayal's delivery had the edge of the bat. Reddy held on to a diving catch which seemed to be bobbled away, confirming a vital breakthrough for India B in the second innings.
India B will be looking to get all six points by the end of Day 4 as Yash Dayal starred in the morning session with three scalps along with Navdeep Saini getting the better of Shubman Gill yet again.

The four-wicket collapse has put India A at risk of losing despite being in a winning situation following a quick opening by Shubman Gill and Riyan Parag. Much like the previous innings, the senior stars were unable to capitalise on their beginnings and are in desperate need of a strong partnership to see them through to the end of the day for a draw or even a win.
On the other hand, Reddy will be expected to take over some of the bowling duty as the day progresses. He bowled 11 overs in the first innings, going wicketless but keeping a stable economy rate of 1.7.
Meanwhile, Abhimanyu Easwaran's India B have heavily depended on the trio of Mukesh Kumar, Saini, and Dayal - in their pace attack. The team also have a formidable spin attack featuring Sai Kishore, Washington Sundar, and Musheer Khan.
