England Cricket Team vs South Africa National Cricket Team Match Timeline: After trailing 1-0 in the series, England have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 2nd ODI at Lord's Cricket ground in London. After a brief rain delay, the toss proceedings took place as Harry Brook had no hesitation in bowling first.

Brook stated that the pace bowling attack wants to exploit the early conditions at Lord's. England made one change - Saqib Mahmood comes in place of Sonny Baker.

"We are gonna have a bowl. There'll be a bit in it at the start, hopefully we can the most of it. Put that (loss) behind us, it's a new day, we feel like the series starts today for us, go out there and do things that we always talk about. We always look to put pressure on their bowlers with the bat and then with the ball, work towards modes of dismissal. Saqib Mahmood comes in for Sonny Baker. He's a very skilful bowler - Saqib - good to have him back. Nothing against Sonny, we feel that's the right decision," Brook said.

On the other hand, the South African captain, Temba Bavuma, also informed about a forced change in the line-up - Tony de Zorzi ruled out and Matthew Breetzke comes in.

"We'd have looked to bowl. We'll have to do the job with the bat, assess the conditions as best we can. Today is an important day for us to keep getting better as a team. We'll keep things simple. England will come hard at us today, so whatever happens, we'll put our best foot forward."

Lord's Pitch Report: A typical Lord's pitch carries pace and bounce, but it is toned down a bit considering the ODI format. The conditions will get better for batting as the game progresses. With rain around, batting second has been preferred by Brook as he won the toss.
