The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to hold a crucial meeting with the men's team management in Raipur on Wednesday, aiming to realign the team's course and rectify the growing concerns surrounding communication and selection processes.

The meeting will take place ahead of the second ODI between India and South Africa on Wednesday in Raipur.

As reported by Sportsar, the meeting is expected to be attended by key officials, including BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, joint secretary Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and national selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar.

According to an official source, the meeting aims to promote synergy between the selectors and team management.

“During the home Test season, there have been instances of confusing tactics on and off the field. We want clarity and forward planning, especially with the next Test series eight months away,” the official said as quoted by Sportsar.

The official also outlined existing problems regarding the communication gap between the management and senior players in limited-overs cricket.

“India will be favourites to defend the T20 World Cup next year and strong contenders for the ODI World Cup after that, so we want these issues resolved quickly,” the official added.

Though specific names weren't mentioned, the situation indicates underlying tensions emanating from insufficient discussion between the management and senior players, notably Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
