During the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 clash between India and Nepal, Former India opener Gautam Gambhir found himself in a controversial incident. While walking past a group of fans in the stands, some of them started shouting which triggered a ferocious response from him. As per the video, Gambhir turned around and made an obscene gesture (middle-finger), which was captured on camera.

The video of Gambhir's indecent gesture has been circulating on various social media platforms. Currently, Gambhir is a member of the Star Sports commentary team for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, part of which is taking place in Sri Lanka. Check out the video here:

At first, fans on social media anticipated that due to chanting of Virat Kohli's name by the crowd, Gambhir gave that reaction. However, the World Cup 2011 winner made it clear that it was some Pakistani fans in the crowd who were chanting 'Anti-India' slogans.

Earlier, Gambhir also criticized the Indian cricket board for participating in multi-nation tournaments against Pakistan while boycotting bilateral series. However, Gambhir faced intense trolling from fans when they noticed him commentating during the Asia Cup alongside former Pakistan players.
