IND vs ENG: The Men in Blue would be flying to England to participate in a five-match Test match series, which would be held in June. The first Test match would be held in Headingley in Leeds on June 20 and the other four matches would be held in Birmingham, Lords, Manchester, and the Oval.
The BCCI had unveiled an 18-member team for the upcoming Test series last week but star batter Shreyas Iyer was snubbed from the squad. He has been in sublime form currently and has also led the Punjab-based franchise from the front in IPL 2025 to be the table toppers.
After scoring 514 runs by playing in 14 matches till now, Iyer is also PBKS' highest run-getter in the ongoing season but he still wasn't included in team India's Test squad. Iyer getting snubbed shocked both the fans and the ex-cricketers.

Gautam Gambhir, who is the head coach of the Indian cricket team enquired as to why Iyer was dropped from the Test team for the series against England, and to that Gautam Gambhir gave a five-word reply, which had gone viral on social media.
“I am not a selector," Gambhir told reporters after being asked about Iyer.
Shreyas Iyer played his debut Test match against New Zealand way back in 2021 and scored a hundred during his first innings. He last played for India in the longest format against England in Vizag last year.
He has scored 811 runs after playing in 14 Test matches till now. He also has smashed one hundred and five half-centuries in the longest format.
Although Iyer wasn't picked in India's Test squad, it was Karun Nair, who made a comeback after eight years, and B Sai Sudharsan along with fast bowler Arshdeep Singh received their maiden Test call-ups.
Since Rohit Sharma's Test retirement, it is Shubman Gill, who has become India's new Test skipper. The youngster had become the 37th player to be leading India in the longest format. He has scored 1893 runs after playing in 32 Test matches.
