GT vs SRH IPL 2025: Mohammed Siraj has been brilliant ever since he joined the Gujarat-based franchise and the fast bowler shouldn't be judged on some poor performances, as per Vikram Solanki, who is GT's director. Siraj registered match-winning figures of 3/19 during their IPL 2025 clash against RCB and after taking five wickets he has become Gujarat Titans' second-best bowler.

“(It has been) exactly the role he’s been playing, to be honest with you. He’s a fine bowler," Solanki told reporters during the pre-match press conference.

“It’s unfair to say things that haven’t been going well for him. He has performed outstandingly well when he has been given the opportunity. Sometimes we expect and ask a lot of young cricketers and somebody who has achieved as much as Siraj has. Sometimes we’re very quick to judge one or two performances but he has been exceptional certainly since he has joined us," he said.

Solanki revealed that Siraj's role has been the same for them and that he has gained a lot by working hard under head coach Ashish Nehra's guidance.

“He has a very good relationship with Ashish and I think that you’re seeing the fruits of his hard work and the work he’s doing with Ashish, the conversations he’s having with Ashish. You’re seeing the fruits of that play out in the games so far. He has been exceptional is what I’ll say," he said.

Solanki admitted that he doesn't know what Siraj and Nehra talk about and heaped praises on the head coach for making the players confident.

“Well look, that’s between a coach and a player but generally a coach’s job is to instill confidence in players. Ashish has that ability in abundance. You’ve sort of seen that with other players that have been part of GT. He certainly instills confidence in players and that’s exactly what is transpiring with Siraj," he further revealed.

Solanki, though didn't react much to SRH's string of poor performances as they are on a three-match losing streak.

“You can sometimes fall into the trap of what’s gone on previously. We’re minded of Sunrisers being a very capable and strong team with match winners throughout their line-up," he concluded.
