GT vs LSG IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans pacer Arshad Khan was seen slipping twice while taking his bowling runup in their clash against Lucknow Super Giants in Ahmedabad on Thursday. The first incident happened during the second over, where Arshad was given the new ball to bowl to LSG openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram.
On the first ball of his over, Arshad was seen struggling to land on his backfoot while bowling. He then fell on his left knee and his whole body weight came on his left shoulder. Even though he did fall, he stood back up and finished his entire over.

He then slipped once again while bowling the fifth ball of the same over. Arshad once again lost his balance while taking his runup and this time his shoulder took an even huge blow. During both times, the team's physio was seen running to the ground to give the pacer some treatment.
After Arshad fell twice, the groundsmen were also seen applying sawdust on the bowler's landing area. There was no such incident post that.
Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bowl first against LSG in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
Despite getting qualified for the playoffs, the ongoing match is quite important for the hosts, since they are currently the table toppers. The next few matches will decide how teams like RCB, PBKS, MI, and GT will play in the playoffs. If they defeat LSG, then they would inch closer towards the top two spots, which will be a huge boost for them, since they can get two chances to play in the playoffs.
Post winning the toss, GT skipper Shubman Gill reckoned that they would be fielding the same playing XI and said, "We'll bowl first, looks like a good wicket. Will be good to have a target on the board. We want momentum heading into the qualifiers, these two games are going to be equally important. The way we complement each other is great, we don't have conversations about who will take down the bowlers. No changes."
LSG captain Rishabh Pant also revealed that they would also have chosen to bowl first and said, "Would have bowled first, looks a good wicket. There is a challenge when you are already eliminated, but we take pride in playing cricket. As a team, we are trying different options that give ourselves the best chance of winning. Anything that could help us prepare for next season? Akash Deep comes in, and a few more changes for us."
