GT vs CSK, IPL 2025: As Chennai Super Kings take on Gujarat Titans in their last Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match, the speculation surrounding legendary captain MS Dhoni's IPL future continues to swirl and now the veteran wicketkeeper-batter openly admitted that his body is "surviving."

After getting knocked out of the IPL 2025 playoffs contention, now CSK set to finish last on the points table- first time in their IPL history- and the future of Dhoni in the cash-rich league remains shrouded in uncertainty.

With the future remaining uncertain, the 43-year-old legend revealed that he has yet to make a decision, stating that he will take the next eight months to deliberate on his future, thus indicating the suspense until the lead-up to IPL 2026."

During tha toss, former India head coach and now commentator Ravi Shastri asked the CSK captain about his fitness and Dhoni acknowledged that every year offers a new challenge for him.

MS Dhoni on his IPL future

"It's surviving. Every year, it's a new challenge, especially, when you are at the last stage of the career. You need maintenance. It didn't trouble me when I was playing international cricket. But thanks to the support staff as well," said Dhoni at the time of toss.

Dhoni outlined that CSK needs to forget about the result and enjoy the cricket.

"What is important is forget about the win or loss. We will remain last in the points table even if we win or lose. We have to enjoy our cricket. It will be about seal the position as a player," Dhoni added.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against Gujarat Titans in their Indian Premier League match here on Sunday.

A victory is crucial in this contest for GT, who have 18 points from 13 matches so far with nine wins, as it will help them ensure a top-two finish for the IPL playoffs.

For CSK, it will be yet another opportunity to test the young talent.
