Rahul Dravid Birthday: Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the Indian men's cricket team is celebrating his birthday as he turns 51 on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
The BCCI wasted no time in wishing the former Indian captain a happy birthday, who is currently involved in the T20I series against Afghanistan at home.

Dravid made his international debut in an ODI match way back in April 1996 against Sri Lanka and went on to represent the Indian team till 2012.
He achieved massive success at an individual level in both ODI and Test formats but went on to create a respectful image in the longest format of the game.
His former teammates Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh Karthik also wished him on his birthday.

In 164 Tests, Dravid scored 13288 runs at an average of 52.31 on the back of 63 half-centuries and 36 hundreds. He also scored five double-hundreds
Dravid also featured for the Men in Blue in 344 ODI matches and went on to amass 10889 runs at an average OF 39.17 with the help of 12 hundreds.
Renowned as 'The Wall' among his fans, Dravid's batting technique and determination made him one of the most fearful batters in Test cricket as he was known for batting for long hours and always made it a heavy struggle for bowlers with his performances full of patience.
After retiring from international cricket, Dravid started serving Indian cricket in other capacities.
Ahead of getting appointed as India's head coach, Dravid was associated with the junior team as a mentor of the under-19 and India A sides.
He also served as head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) where he played an instrumental role in nurturing and shaping Indian cricket.

Rahul Dravid holds the record for the most catches taken by a player in Test cricket as he took 210 catches in his 164-test long career during which he mostly fielded at the slips and took over the gloves for a while as well.
Rahul Dravid also holds the record for playing the most consecutive innings without registering a duck in international cricket history. He played 173 innings across formats without getting dismissed for 0.

The former Indian captain has a remarkable feat to his name of facing the most number of balls in Test cricket, having played 31528 balls throughout 164 matches. He also spent the most time at the crease in the longest format as he was in action for 44,152 minutes on the crease which equates to 735 hours and 52 minutes.
Rahul Dravid was involved in most 100-plus and 300-plus partnerships in Test cricket. He was part of the century stands 88 times whereas he was part of the tripe century stand six times.
Rahul and Sachin Tendulkar hold the record for scoring most partnership runs in Test cricket history.
