Hardik Pandya Injury Update: India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, in all likelihood, is set to appear for Baroda in the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). As per a report, Pandya's much-awaited return to international Cricket will come against South Africa in the three-match ODI series. As per the report from The Times of India (TOI), Pandya is expected to get fit in time as he is nearing complete match fitness in Bengaluru's COE (Centre of Excellence).
The report further suggested that Pandya should get fit in time for the first match of the tournament. Even in a worst-case scenario, Pandya is expected to get fit by Baroda's second game.
The domestic T20 tournament starts on November 26, with Baroda scheduled to play their games in Hyderabad.

After completing his rehabilitation at COE, Pandya might have to leave for Hyderabad for the tournament straightaway.
The idea behind getting the all-rounder to play at least one match before he joins India’s ODI squad for the series against South Africa, which starts on November 30.
Notably, an injury in the left quadriceps forced Pandya to sit out of the Asia Cup final against Pakistan. India, despite his absence, managed to clinch the politically charged tournament with a win over the arch-rivals. Notably, Pandya was able to bowl two overs against Sri Lanka in his last international match due to injury.
Pandya missed the ODI and T20I series in Australia but is set to make his comeback for the forthcoming white-ball matches against South Africa.
