New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Team India defeated West Indies by six wickets in the T20I opener held in Hyderabad on Friday. Skipper Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 94 while opening batsman KL Rahul scored a half-century as India chased down 208 runs with six wickets in hand. KL Rahul, who became the third-fastest batsman and the seventh Indian overall to reach the milestone of scoring 1,000 runs, featured on Chahal TV after the match. In the video, Chahal asked Rahul, now that you have reached 1,000 runs, how many runs are you ahead of me in T20I?
The 27-year-old came up with a savage reply to the wrist spinner and said, "I am 999 runs ahead of you." KL Rahul also revealed the nature of the wicket and added that he was surprised at the wicket and said it was weird how both teams managed to score over 200 runs. Shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter, the video has been viewed over 36,000 times on the micro-blogging site.

As far as the match is concerned, India won the toss and chose to bowl first. Shimron Hetmyer scored his maiden T20I half-century, while Evin Lewis, skipper Kieron Pollard and Brandon King's contribution helped the visitors post 207 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.
The visitors got off to a flying start as Rohit Sharma was dismissed for just eight runs in the fourth over. However, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli's hundred run partnership helped the men in blue take a 1-0 lead in the T20I series.
Chahal, who scalped a couple of wickets in the match also went on became the joint highest wicket-taker for India in T20Is after managing to scalp 52nd wicket. He equalled India's ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
The next T20I is scheduled to take place in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday while the last fixture will be held at Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
