Champions Trophy 2025: The PCB has told ICC that they would only accept a solution if it meets the requirement of their stance, as per Geo news. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already informed the ICC of not going to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

But at the same time, the PCB remained firm in holding the whole tournament in Pakistan.

In order to get a solution to the ongoing problem, the ICC held a meeting on Friday, where all the members attended it to find out a proper solution.

There were discussions held about the future of the mega event for 15 minutes straight. But, ultimately the meeting was shifted for the next day.

As per Geo News, the ICC meeting which was supposed to be held on Saturday, didn't take place. It further revealed that the future of this matter would conclude after the ICC gave a proper solution and said, "Pakistan's stance is unchanged on hosting."

Owing to the disturbed political relations between these two countries, the Men in Blue haven't traveled to Pakistan since 2008, where they were seen in action in the Asia Cup. The arch-nemesis last played against each other in a bilateral series in 2012-13 in India. And post that, both these countries have only played against each other during ICC events and Asia Cups.

And since a hybrid model is always an option, the PCB chairman had initially dismissed the speculations that the upcoming mega-event would be held in a hybrid model. He also emphasized that they are doing what's best for Pakistan cricket.

"Our stance is very clear. I promise we'll do what is best for Pakistan cricket. I am constantly in touch with the ICC chairman and my team is talking to them constantly. We are still clear in our stance that it's not acceptable that we play cricket in India and they don't play cricket here. Whatever will happen, will happen based on equality. We've told the ICC very clearly and what happens next we'll let you know", Naqvi was quoted as saying to ESPNCricinfo.
