ICC Ranking: India all-rounder Deepti Sharma lost her top spot in the latest update of the ICC (International Cricket Council) T20I Ranking among bowlers. Notably, Deepti attained the number one spot for a short period of time before losing it to Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland. On the other hand, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur advanced two spots to reach 13th position in the latest update for batters after her match-winning knock against Sri Lanka in the 5th T20I.
Notably, India won the game by 15 runs as they secured a 5-0 whitewash, concluding on December 30.
Harmanpreet was a class apart in that knock, smashing 68 off 43 deliveries to bag the Player of the Match award as she moved towards the top 10.
Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma maintained their third and sixth spots, while Australia’s Beth Mooney stayed at the top.
Jemimah Rodrigues slipped out of the top 10 and is now in 12th place.
Deepti Sharma lost her position at the top of the bowling rankings. Her performance of one wicket for 28 runs in the fifth T20I wasn't enough to prevent Australia’s Annabel Sutherland from rising to the top.
Deepti has one rating point less than Sutherland's 736 as the Australian fast-bowling all-rounder regained the No 1 position, which she first attained in August 2025 when Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal had similarly conceded the top spot to her.
The bowling rankings also saw Indian left-arm spinner Shree Charani advance five places to 47th.
For Sri Lanka, Kavisha Dilhari (up one place to 32nd) and Chamari Athapaththu (up three places to 48th) gained in the bowling rankings.
