India vs South Africa, ICC T20 World Cup 2026: India will be up against South Africa in match 43 of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, February 22. This will be the first match for both teams in the Super 8 stage, which will kick off on Saturday. The Indian team will be captained by Suryakumar Yadav, whereas Aiden Markram will continue to lead the South African team.

India have looked the most dangerous side in the tournament so far, having maintained their incredible consistency in the shortest format. They are yet to suffer a defeat in the competition and went on to top Group A after the victories over the USA, Namibia, Pakistan and the Netherlands. On the other hand, the Proteas also won all of their group games, defeating New Zealand, Afghanistan, UAE and Canada.

India are the defending champions, having lifted their second T20 WC title with a victory over South Africa in the final in 2024. The upcoming IND vs SA match will be a crucial match for both teams as they will be looking to put their best foot forward in the Super 8 stage with an aim to make it to the semifinals.
