IND vs AUS 2nd T20I: India's star batter Tilak Varma took a stunning catch while standing on the boundary line during the second T20I against Australia at MCG, and this catch reminded everyone of Surya's catch in the summit clash of the 2024 T20 World Cup. The incident occurred in the 5th over of the second over when Varun Chakravarthy took Travis Head's wicket.
Head mistimed a shot and had hit the ball towards long-off, but Tilak judged the ball brilliantly and dove to his left and took the catch.
While staying calm, Varma jumped in the air before stepping out and then took the catch.

This catch reminded everyone of Suryakumar Yadav's brilliant catch and helped the team dismiss David Miller in the 2024 T20 World Summit clash, which played a huge role in helping the team defend a target of 176.
In that match, his catch to dismiss Miller turned the tide in India's favor.
How did the match pan out?
Varma did take the catch, but he got out for a two-ball duck. Australia's star fast bowler Josh Hazlewood rattled India's top order and helped the hosts win the match by 4 wickets.
In a fully packed stadium, the visitors registered one of their most embarrassing losses as nine batters failed to score double digits, and that's why they posted a below-par target of 125 runs.
Abhishek Sharma, who has been in sublime form, played the role of a lone warrior as he scored a gritty knock of 68 runs off 37 balls. Along with Harshit Rana, he built a brilliant partnership of 56 runs and took the visitors past 100 after Hazlewood's 3/13 made them reel at 49/5.
Hazlewood had bowled 15 dot balls in the 4 overs that he bowled and rattled India's batting attack.
