IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: India's star batter Rohit Sharma had scored a gritty knock of 73 runs off 97 balls during the second ODI against Australia, but his efforts went in vain as the visitors lost the match and failed to level the series. In his innings of 73 runs, he had broken lots of records, and in the 3rd ODI, he will break many more records.
If Rohit can score 93 runs in the next ODI, then he will be the highest run-scorer as an Indian opener. Till now, he has scored 15666 runs as an opener after 376 innings. Virender Sehwag ended his career after scoring 15758 runs in 388 innings.

Apart from this, Rohit also surpassed Shahid Afridi's tally of smashing the most sixes in this format.
Rohit, who played in his debut ODI match against Ireland way back in 2007, has hit 346 sixes after playing in 275 matches, whereas Afridi had smashed 351 sixes after playing in 98 matches.
He needs to smash six sixes and surpass Afridi's record. The veteran Indian batter does have the record of hitting the most sixes.
