India vs Australia 2nd ODI: India's batting mogul Rohit Sharma on Thursday carved his name in the history books as he became the first Indian cricketer to score 1000 runs in India vs Australia ODIs played on Australian soil.

The 38-year-old opener just required two runs to accomplish the feat, and the former captain reached the milestone with elegantly driving a boundary off Mitchell Starc in the third over of the game.

Notably, Rohit is currently playing his 21st ODI against the Aussies in Australia.

Rohit stands tall in the list of batters with the most runs in India-Australia ODI matches played in Australia, followed by Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Shikhar Dhawan.
