IND vs AUS: India's star batter Rohit Sharma will next be seen in action in Australia for a three-match ODI series, which will be held later this month. The series opener will be held in Perth, and the next two ODIs will be held in Adelaide and Sydney.

Rohit, who had announced his retirement from the shortest format last year, has retired from Test as well this year and is now gearing up for the three-match ODI series against Australia.

As per Revsportz, the veteran batter, who was also removed as India's ODI skipper last week, was seen attending a three-hour practice session on Tuesday and had later attended the CEAT awards.

“Rohit’s practice was mainly centered around facing the short deliveries and playing horizontal-bat shots," the report said.

‘Love playing against Australia’

At the CEAT awards held in Mumbai, Rohit talked about his selection in this series and also revealed the challenges he will face in this series.

“I personally took a lot of pride in trying to excel in all three forms whenever I had the opportunity, and that is something that a few others also did, and that eventually rubbed off on the team as well," he said.

“I love playing against them. I love going to Australia. It’s a very challenging country to play cricket in. People there love the game as well," he added.

“But certainly, Australia is a different challenge every time they have played against us. Having been there now several times, I do understand what to expect. Hopefully, we can go there and do what the Indian team is supposed to do and get the result in our favor," he concluded.
