IND vs AUS: Indian talisman Virat Kohli's return to international Cricket was marred after he fell for an eight-ball duck during the 1st ODI between India and Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Australian speedster Mitchell Starc bowled a delivery outside the off-stump to get a thick edge as fielder Cooper Connolly took a good catch at backward point. The dismissal was no surprise for everyone as Kohli has seldom been trapped by the bowlers on this front.
However, the modern master is known to make 'serious' comebacks in his career as he spotted practicing his backfoot shots during practice ahead of the 2nd ODI in Adelaide on 23 October (Thursday). The official X handle of the South Australia Cricket Association (SACA) shared a video of Kohli firing back-footed punches along with cuts, and capped off the video with an eye-catching pull shot.

Not just for India, Kohli has the privilege of being the best visiting batter of all time at this venue, and it is his home away from home.
In eight innings this year, he has scored 275 runs in eight ODIs and innings, averaging 39.28, with a century, two fifties, and a best score of 100*.
Arshdeep Backed Kohli To Come Good In Adelaide
Indian left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has banked on Virat to find his lost mojo. The 26-year-old wants to continue to revel in his presence in the dressing room, which is a "blessing" for him.
"He's (Virat) played more than 300 one-dayers for India. So form is just a word for him. He knows how to get going. And it's like a blessing to be in the same dressing room with him. And going forward, I feel there'll be a lot of runs for him in this series as well. And talking about the format he's playing, he's mastered this one. So I don't know how he feels about it (his dismissal)," Arshdeep told reporters in the post-match press conference.
