India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test, Day 1: The rain had the final say on Day 1 of the second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park in Kanpur. The opening day was called off after just 35 overs being bowled due to the incessant rain with bad light also playing spoilsport.

The toss and play of Day 1 was delayed due to a wet outfield later it was interrupted again because to bad lighting.

Bangladesh reached 107/3 before inclement weather, including bad light and rain, forced an early end to the day's play midway through the second session.

The visitors were put to bat on the lush green pitch of Green Park Stadium under overcast conditions by India captain Rohit Sharma. The Bangladesh openers started their innings on a good note blocking fiery spells by Japsrit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

However, the deadlock opening partnership was broken by Akash Deep, who drew first blood, as opener Zakir Hasan edged a full delivery to Yashasvi Jaiswal at gully in the first over and the Indian took an excellent catch.

The right arm pacer then strapped Shadman Islam with the support of DRS in front for 24. Then came the captain Najmul Hossain Shanto who stitched a brief valuable partnership with Mominul Haque in the middle to steady the sinking ship of visitors till Lunch.

Right after the lunch R Ashwin trapped the opposition captain in front after the session break before bad light brought play to a halt.

On Day 2, Mominul and veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim will continue their partnership at the score of 107/3.
