India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test: India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the second Test in Kanpur on Tuesday, October 1, completing a 2-0 whitewash.

After the famous win well inside the two days of play, India's star batter Virat Kohli gifted one of his signed bats to the soon-to-be-retired Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.

Having played his last Test in India, Shakib has already made it clear that he wouldn't play the home series against South Africa unless the current caretaker government in Bangladesh can ensure his smooth passage out of the country.

Kohli was seen walking towards the Bangladesh team and handing over his bat to their senior all-rounder.

The duo was seen exchanging pleasantries and sharing a laugh as Shakib did a bit of shadow-driving with the willow.

Shakib is one of the most popular overseas players in India, having been a part of the Indian Premier League over the years.

He has featured in 71 IPL matches, mainly for Kolkata Knight Riders and also a few for the Sunrsiers Hyderabad.

The current regime in Bangladesh is not too keen on giving a farewell to Shakib with the current Bangladesh Cricket Board president Farukh Ahmed, saying that his organisation was not a security agency.

In that case, Kanpur could well end up being Shakib's 71st and last Test match. He is supposed to retire completely from international cricket after the Champions Trophy next year.

He had a tough outing in India during the two-match series, having scored just 66 runs in the four innings at an average of 16.50.

Shakib only managed to pick up four wickets in the 35 overs he bowled during the series.

While Yashasvi Jaiswal was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his 72 and 51 with the bat, Ravichandran Ashwin won the Player of the Series.

Ashwin smashed 114 runs at an average of 57 and picked 11 wickets.
