IND vs ENG 1st Test: Ex-India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, on Day 2, was trying to hilariously avoid taking Virat Kohli's name while doing commentary as India's Test captain Shubman Gill's aggressive wicket celebration looked quite similar to Kohli, who recently announced his retirement from the Test cricket. Gill was seen running towards Mohammed Siraj and also made a gesture that showed that their plan had worked.

After Gill's aggressive celebration went viral, Manjrekar compared the two batters. He reckoned that Gill's reaction reminded him of someone else, who batted at the same position as his.

“Who is this, Shubman Gill or someone else? When he bats, he seems so calm, and composed, a completely different personality. Captain Gill, we are seeing this version for the first time," Manjrekar was heard saying on air.

“His celebration reminded me of someone, but I am struggling to place it. MS Dhoni never celebrated like that from mid-on, and it is not Rohit Sharma’s style. Could be a No. 4 batter," he said.

Manjrekar's comment made everyone present in the commentary box laugh, like ex-Indian cricketers Varun Aaron and Navjot Singh Sidhu.

At the same time, it was frustrating to see Gill bringing in Shardul Thakur late into the attack as that is what happened during the 34th over on the second day and since the other bowlers failed to do much.

The Indian bowlers couldn't get much reprieve as they were disappointed when England's star batter Joe Root survived an LBW dismissal in Siraj's over.

And that didn't stop Pope from smashing his ninth Test hundred as he took a single in Bumrah's over and Hadingley witnessed its fourth century-maker within two days.

But Bumrah did make a brilliant comeback as he dismissed Root towards the fag end of the day and broke the 870-run partnership for the third wicket.
