Headingley Weather update: The highly-awaited five-match Test series between India and England is all set to begin on Friday, June 20 in Leeds. Since both teams will try to begin their new WTC campaign on a high, the weather conditions are expected to play a huge role in the result of the first Test match.

IND vs ENG weather forecast: Will rain impact the game?

The cricket fans of both the teams would hope that there is no interruption when the series begins and they would be quite relieved since the weather on the first day is quite promising. Leeds will experience a warm day with a cloudy sky as the temperature would be around 31 degrees Celsius and there is just a five percent chance of rain playing a spoilsport as per Accuweather.com. It would mostly be a clear day and the conditions would be favourable for having a full day's match.

But the weather conditions on the second day would change. Rain is expected to play a spoilsport around the afternoon with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. And that's why there are high chance that the match will be interrupted although the first session will remain dry.

India vs England: Pitch report

As per the initial pictures, the surface in Headingley is expected to be quite green.

It will be bowlers-friendly as seamers might get assistance during the first two days. And the overcast conditions might help the seamers more.

The batters will have a hard time but the surface will improve after the third day. The surface will then assist spinners during the later half of the match.

Except for the second day, where rain might play a spoilsport, the rest of the match would witness a lot of action.
