India vs England 2nd T20 Live: The hosts won the 1st T20I on Wednesday and will aim to repeat their heroics during the 2nd T20I against England. The match will be held at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on Saturday at 7 pm IST.
The Indian bowlers were in brilliant form during the series opener. Varun Chakravarthy was the pick among the bowlers as he rattled England's batting lineup and took three wickets in the four overs that he bowled.
Arshdeep too was impressive with the new ball. He dismissed England openers Phil Salt and Ben Duckett in the powerplay.
Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya also took two wickets apiece and helped the team skittle England out for just 133 runs.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led side too lost a few wickets but star opener Abhishek Sharma took the team across the line. He had smashed five fours and eight sixes as he scored a match-winning knock of 79 runs off 34 balls.
Sanju Samson too scored a gritty knock of 26 runs whereas Tilak Varma stayed unbeaten at 16.
The Men in Blue chased down the target during the 13th over and are currently leading the five-match T20I series. The visitors will aim to bounce back at the MA Chidambaram stadium.
England skipper Jos Buttler played the role of a lone warrior during the series opener. He scored a gritty knock of 68 runs, where most of their batters could score in single-digits.
