IND vs ENG 5th Test: And just when the English commentators were done slamming India's star fast bowler Akash Deep for giving Ben Duckett a fiery sendoff, Duckett too was seen getting involved in heated exchanges with the visitors. Ahead of the stumps on Day 2 of the ongoing Test match, Duckett was seen getting involved in a heated exchange with Sai Sudharsan when he was going back to the pavilion after being given out.

A video had gone viral on social media where Sudharsan was disappointed with his dismissal and also argued with Ben Duckett, and then Harry Brook and skipper Ollie Pope had to intervene and separate the players.

A few section of the English media wrote their headlines and slammed Akash Deep for giving a send-off to Duckett. Duckett provoked Akash and told him that he couldn't dismiss him at this venue. The fast bowler then replied by wrapping his hand around Duckett's shoulder after dismissing him.

For instance, ex-cricketer David Lloyd had written in his column for the Daily Mail, “Once the batsman is dismissed, that should be the end. Akash Deep should not have put his arm around Ben Duckett, and KL Rahul did the right thing by pulling him away. It’s the last thing you want as a batsman. That kind of reaction should only be saved after a momentous innings or a milestone."

Marcus Trescothic, who is England's assistant coach, described the whole incident as strange and sent a stern warning, saying that a lot of people would have gone past the fast bowler by using their elbow. Another presenter also asked Ricky Ponting if someone would have done the same during his playing days, and would have led to the batter punching the bowler, and Ponting agreed that he would have done the same.

India fast bowler Prasidh Krishna was also slammed on social media for getting involved in a heated exchange with Joe Root a few overs after Duckett got out. The fans on social media criticised Prasidh for saying something provocative to one of the nicest guys in this sport. The Indians fans, too, have slammed Duckett by being sarcastic.
