India's Win At Oval: With India achieving the 'unthinkable' on Day 5 of the Oval Test, 'player of the match' Mohammed Siraj talked about 'belief' as he always believed that he could win the final Test for India. It could have been a travesty for India failed to defend the target of 374 as England were on course to recreate at the Oval, but Siraj with the help of Prasidh Krishna pulled things back in their favour.

Siraj, in the post-match presentation, stated how he took out a 'Believe' emoji wallpaper as he was sure of the face that he could win the game for India from any stage.

Without the talismanic Jasprit Bumrah by his side, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Telangana Police ended up bowling 185.3 overs to take 23 wickets.

"I woke up in the morning and checked google on my phone and took out a 'Believe' emoji wallpaper and told myself that I will do it for the country."

"I always believe that I can win the game from any point, and did that to the morning," Siraj told Dinesh Karthik in a post-match chat for Jio Hotstar.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri quipped about Siraj getting a bigger promotion than DSP in case India wins. During the presentation, Siraj was asked if he was getting a bigger promotion than DSP for his exploits. To which Siraj giggled and said - "I don't know."

Siraj finished with 5 for 104 in 30.1 overs and a match haul of nine wickets.

"My only plan was to bowl good areas. Didn't matter if I took wickets or went for runs," Siraj said.

I thought match was gone: Siraj

Siraj made a costly error as he dropped England's middle-order batter Harry Brook, who went on to score a century.

"I didn't think I'd touch the cushion when I took it. It was a match-changing moment. Brook got into T20 moment. We were behind the game after that but Thank God. I thought the match was gone," Siraj said.
