India vs England 5th Test: Legendary India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was visibly elated after the Shubman Gill-led side secured a hard-fought six-run win at the Oval against England, and this showed as he sang and danced to the patriotic classic “Meri Desh Ki Dharti."

Mohammed Siraj's fighter spirit guided India to a series-levelling six-run victory over England in the fifth and final Test, scripting a remarkable comeback in the most intensely fought and drama-filled showdown.

Gavaskar, who has been one of the biggest cheerleaders of Team India, once again showed his undying passion for Indian cricket, grooving with cricketer turned broadcaster Cheteshwar Pujara in front of a cheering crowd.

The atmosphere at the Oval was buzzing with anticipation as the match was pushed into the final day after the early stumps was called due to bad light and later rain.

The thousands of Indian fans at the Oval erupted into thunderous jubilant cheers and a wave of rhythmic claps when Siraj removed Gus Atkinson- England's last batter.

England entered Day 5 with the upper hand as they needed 35 runs with four wickets in hand to chase down the target. But India bowlers Siraj and Prasidh Krishna bowled in tandem to rip apart England's lower order.

With four wickets in hand and 35 runs to get, England held the edge before the start of play but the gladiator in Siraj made life hell for the opposition batters from ball one.

In the end, his effort, complemented quite well by Krishna at the other end, left England short by the thinnest of margins and allowed India to sign off 2-2 in the high-pressure five-match rubber.

The pair pushed India to a thrilling finish, gathering up the last four England wickets for just 34 runs and closing a memorable victory for the visitors.
