Upon their arrival in Hyderabad, the Indian players are scheduled to have the net session immediately.

It is to be noted that Kohli will be taking a day off in between as he has taken permission from the BCCI to attend the Ram Temple Consecration in Ayodhya on Monday, January 22.

England are set to arrive in the city on January 21, having prepared for the series in Abu Dhabi.

Talking about the on-field action, the mind games have already started ahead of the series as England's pace bowler Ollie Robinson shared his take on his battle with Virat Kohli.

Robinson has had a great record against India as he has taken 21 wickets in four matches including three dismissals of Kohli.

Robinson once again is looking forward to challenging the Indian batting sensation's "ego."

“You always want to play against the best players, don’t you? And you always want to get the best players out. Kohli is one of those. He’s got a big ego and I think playing on that, especially in India, where he is going to want to dominate and score runs, playing on the fact we’ve had battles in the past, is exciting,” ESPNCricinfo quoted Robinson as saying.

The five-match series will be crucial for the Indian team in the TWC cycle as England are keen to pose a difficult challenge with their Bazball approach.

Kohli was last seen in action in the longest format on the South Africa tour where he had a promising performance, especially the fighting knock of 76 runs in the first Test.

He was the top run-getter for the Indian team with 172 runs in the two-match Tests series which ended in a 1-1 draw.
