As Team India take on Ireland in the upcoming 3-match T20I series starting on Friday, IPL stalwarts Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma, who earned their maiden call-ups opened up on their first-ever flights with the Indian cricket contingent.

Notably, middle-order batters Rinku and Jitesh earned their individual call-ups courtesy of brilliant performances in successive IPL seasons.

BCCI (Board of Cricket Control in India) released a 1-minute long clip of both players sharing their experiences with one another. Check out the video here:

โ€œI feel very nice. Itโ€™s a playerโ€™s dream to be playing for the Indian national team. When I got to my room and saw my jersey which had my name and the number 35 emblazoned on it, it was a very emotional feeling,โ€ Rinku said in an interaction with Sharma for BCCI.tv.

โ€œI was in Noida, in the place where I practiced. When the team was announced, it felt really good. I called my mother and informed her. She always said that I had to play for India so both of our dreams came true,โ€ the Kolkata Knight Riders batter added.

On the other hand, Jitesh stated how it is an opportunity to express themselves in the shortest format of the game.

โ€œObviously, I feel great. Itโ€™s always a nice experience when you travel with the Indian team to any foreign country. Itโ€™s an opportunity and our responsibility to express ourselves,โ€ Jitesh said.

Jasprit Bumrah will be the focal point of attention as he leads India against Ireland in the series. Bumrah's comeback after a 11-month hiatus due to lower-back stress fractures will be closely observed, as he gears up for the upcoming ODI World Cup.
