New Zealand vs India 3rd Test: New Zealand bowled India out for 121 runs in their second innings to register a 25-run win in the third and final Test in Mumbai on Sunday.

The Wankhede Stadium witnessed a masterclass bowling effort from New Zealand as they completed a 3-0 whitewash, giving India a massive wound in their hustle to make it to the World Test Championship final.

New Zealand's defence of 146 runs was the second-lowest total defended in India in the longest format. India defending 107 runs against Australia in 2004 is the record for the lowest.

"Very ecstatic. Looking back at the start of the series to now be in this position, the boys have done a fantastic job over the last three Test matches. We spoke about it and after every Test match, it was trying to back it up. To finally do it here in Mumbai on a completely different surface, one that challenged us certainly with bat and ball, we are pretty happy," New Zealand skipper Tom Latham said at the post-match presentation.

Notably, this was India's first-ever Test series defeat at home after 12 years. England defeated them 2-1 way back in 2012 under Alastair Cook's captaincy.

In the ongoing series, India lost the opening two matches in Bengaluru and Pune and had no clue in front of the Kiwi spinners in Mumbai as well, missing out on a consolation win in the series.
