Coming to the match, Kohli endured a disappointing start to the match, falling for a duck in the first innings courtesy of William O'Rourke's brilliant bouncer. The delivery caught Kohli off guard, taking the inside edge and finding its way to leg gully. However, the veteran batter made amends in the second innings, crafting a solid 70 off 102 deliveries to redeem himself.

The star batter's resurgence continued as he forged a crucial 136-run partnership with Sarfaraz Khan for the third wicket.
