India's star batter Virat Kohli was seen leaving Bengaluru in disguise after the home side suffered a crushing defeat against New Zealand in the first at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Notably, Rohit Sharma-led side's hopes to start the three-match Test series on high were shattered on Sunday as New Zealand chased down the target of 107 runs with ease, handing India a shocking defeat by eight wickets in the opening match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
In a video that is making rounds on social media, Kohli was seen wearing a mask and sunglasses with a cap. The star batter was also seen warmly greeting airport staff as he waited to board the flight.

Coming to the match, Kohli endured a disappointing start to the match, falling for a duck in the first innings courtesy of William O'Rourke's brilliant bouncer. The delivery caught Kohli off guard, taking the inside edge and finding its way to leg gully. However, the veteran batter made amends in the second innings, crafting a solid 70 off 102 deliveries to redeem himself.
The star batter's resurgence continued as he forged a crucial 136-run partnership with Sarfaraz Khan for the third wicket.

Kohli's assured 70 was embellished with eight elegant fours and a six, marking his 31st Test half-century and his first of the year. However, his promising innings was cut short on the final ball of Day 3, as he edged Glenn Phillips to wicketkeeper Tom Blundell.
