India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman was the first wicket to fall as Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya got him for 15(9) in the Asia Cup Super four match going on at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Fakhar looked in good touch as he got off to a start with a couple of boundaries. Sensing his aggressive intent, Hardik bowled a slower one to deceive, as he nicked one to the wicketkeeper Sanju Samson.

Notably, it was unclear to the naked eye if the catch was taken cleanly or not. However, the third umpire ruled it in the favour of India, which attracted an agitated reaction from Fakhar. Check out the reaction here:

Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis, who was present at the commentary box, also expressed uncertainty over the authenticity of catch.

"I'm not sure whether the ball carried to Samson. I would want to see another replay," Waqar said.

The Decision Disgruntled Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar had a 'shocked' reaction to the decision as he walked off angrily towards the dressing room. He even gestured something but it was unclear who he was pointing towards.

India Opt To Bowl

India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl against Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super 4s match here on Sunday.

As was the case in the league match between the two teams, there was no handshake between Suryakumar and his Pakistan counterpart, Salman Agha, at the toss.
