Pakistan floundered against India's spin magic, especially Kuldeep Yadav, at the same venue and succumbed to a landslide 7-wicket defeat in the group stage last week. The left-arm wrist spinner dismantled Pakistan's attack, scything the wickets of Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Nawaz and Hasan Nawaz to return with figures of 3/18.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha and white-ball head coach Mike Hesson have devised a plan to counter the spin threat posed by arch-rival India in their Super Fours fixture at the ongoing Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday, according to Geo News.

In an unusual move, Pakistan also cancelled their customary pre-match press conference for the second game in a row, fuelling speculation about the tense atmosphere within the camp. 

A hot and humid day is expected in Dubai for the India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2025. Temperatures are forecasted to reach around 36°C with humidity levels at approximately 50 per cent.

“I tried for it [Having a psychiatrist] during my tenure. But, players here don’t really accept such things, because in our culture therapy is often misunderstood. Going to a psychiatrist is considered a sign of weakness or even madness, which creates stigma," Najam Sethi told Samaa TV.

"But the most interesting factor here is, many of these experts are foreign-qualified. They communicate in English which isn’t the language of our boys. They are required to be told in Urdu or Pashto. Their backgrounds, their class, and the lack of proper education are other issues. Psychiatrist bhi raato raat unko kuch nahi seekha sakta (A psychiatrist can’t help them overnight)," Sethi added.

"If we talk about rivalry [with Pakistan], I don't know what kind of rivalry you are talking about. After going on the ground, I feel that the stadium is full. And when the stadium is full, I tell my team and everyone that it is time for entertainment. So many people have come to watch the match, so you have to entertain everyone," Suryakumar Yadav said.

Axar Patel suffered a head injury while attempting a catch against Oman. ielding coach T. Dilip has provided an update saying Axar "looks fine" at this point.
