The camaraderie between India and Pakistan players was on display once again as Shaheen Shah Afridi congratulated Jasprit Bumrah for the birth of his child and presented him with some gifts. This heartwarming gesture was captured in a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Twitter.
In the video, Afridi can be seen extending his congratulations to Bumrah for the wonderful news. Bumrah, in response, thanked him. This warm exchange took place after the India vs. Pakistan Super 4 match was called off due to rain.
Jasprit Bumrah had left the Indian cricket camp in Sri Lanka the previous Sunday to be with his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, in Mumbai for the birth of their child. Consequently, he missed India's game against Nepal on the following Monday. This gesture of congratulations and support between players from rival teams highlights the camaraderie and sportsmanship in cricket. Check out the video here:

This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it – Jasprit and Sanjana.”

Coming to the match - the Asia Cup clash between India and Pakistan got washed out leading to the activation of reserve day. When the rain hit the Premadasa Stadium, India was at 147 for two in 24.1 overs. Play is scheduled to resume at 3 pm local time on Monday.
The use of the reserve day means that India will face Sri Lanka in their next Super Four encounter just under 24 hours after the completion of the Pakistan game.
Prior to the weather interruption, Virat Kohli and K L Rahul were at the crease, with scores of 8 and 17, respectively, after openers Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubman Gill (58) had produced solid half-centuries.
Rain has been a consistent issue in the Sri Lanka leg of the Asia Cup, with expectations of more rain throughout the tournament.
