India vs South Africa Weather Forecast: India and South Africa will lock horns in the first ODI match at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg as both teams kick off the three-match ODI series on Sunday, December 17.

They faced off in the recently concluded three-match T20I series which ended with a result of 1-1 as one match was abandoned due to persistent rain in Durban.

The Men in Blue are in action on the South Africa tour for a three-match T20I series, as many ODIs followed by a two-match Test series.

They have three different captains across formats on the tour. Suryakumar Yadav led the T20I side whereas KL Rahul is the captain for the ODI series.

With a few senior players rested from the white-ball leg, the visitors have a few new names in their squad like Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, and Rinku Singh.

Rohit Sharma will return to lead the Test team with Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah also named in the squad.

The tour has already witnessed a few weather interruptions in the T20I series as the first match saw no action followed by the second game getting reduced in terms of overs so the weather will remain a concern once both teams take the field for the first ODI match
