IND vs SA, 2nd Test: Injury concerns in the South African camp have forced the team management to bring in pacer Lungi Ngidi to their squad for the second Test against India, as per a report. The second Test will take place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati starting on Saturday (September 22) which begins on Saturday in Guwahati. The report in ESPNcricinfo stated that Ngidi's call-up points towards the fact that Kagiso Rabada is still uncertain for the next match due to a rib injury.
Marco Jansen, Corbin Bosch, and Wiaan Mulder are other options available for South Africa in the second Test.
Ngidi has featured in just one Test in India so far in his short red-ball career, which was in Ranchi when South Africa toured in 2019. However, Ngidi remained wicketless in that fixture. However, his most crucial outing in the format came against Australia in the World Test Championship final in June.
