IND vs SA 3rd ODI: Star India batter Virat Kohli smashing consecutive centuries against South Africa had lifted the mood of the nation. He is the only reason for the tickets getting sold out in Vizag, even though initially, it got a lukewarm response.

As per the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) officials, the ticket sales didn't see a great response as the first phase of the ticket sales began last week for the upcoming match, which will be held on Saturday. The officials were also thinking of opening the sales of offline tickets at counters at the venue in order to increase the sales, but Kohli's ton in the series opener changed the whole scenario.

“The first phase of tickets went on sale on November 28. The response wasn’t good. But after Kohli’s hundred at Ranchi, the second and third phases vanished in minutes. Nothing was left unsold," Y. Venkatesh from the ACA’s Media and Operations team was quoted as saying to the Indian Express.

Kohli is in sublime form, especially after returning from the longest format and T20Is in the last two years. He scored a match-winning knock in Ranchi as a lot of people thought that he would struggle owing to a lack of match practice, as he had a shaky start to his innings, but bounced back quickly by smashing 11 fours and seven sixes.

His brilliant knock of 102 runs off 93 balls in Raipur was quite similar to that of the series opener.

Can Virat Kohli score a 3rd consecutive ton?

He is one of the 12 players to have smashed three or more consecutive hundreds in one format, and he did against the West Indies. He had also smashed three tons in six ODIs against the Proteas.

At the same time, he loves playing in Vizag as he has scored 587 runs after playing in seven matches at a staggering average of 98.73, which also includes three hundreds and two fifties.
