IND vs SA 2nd ODI: Ex-India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has joined the bandwagon of slamming the team management and selectors for snubbing Mohammed from ODIs. He revealed that the Men in Blue should learn how to win matches without Jasprit Bumrah and that they should have experienced bowlers in their playing XI.
Harbhajan made these statements after the host lost the second ODI against South Africa as the visitors chased the mammoth target of 358 runs and had levelled the series despite Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad smashing hundreds apiece.
Aiden Markram's brilliant ton, Dewald Brevis' gritty knock of 54 runs off 34 balls, and Matthew Breetzke's 68 helped the Proteas win as Corbin Bosch and Keshav Maharaj took the team across the line. Krishna was seen struggling as he took two wickets and gave away 85 runs, whereas Harshit Rana and Washington Sundar also failed to do much.
“Where is Shami? I don’t know why Shami is not playing. I get it, you have Prasidh, he is a good bowler, but he still has a lot to learn. You had good bowlers, and you have slowly sidelined them. With Bumrah, this is a different bowling attack, and without Bumrah, it is an entirely different attack altogether. We have to learn the art of winning games without Jasprit Bumrah," Harbhajan was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.
He also cited India's Test series against England, which ended in a 2-2 draw, and said the team needs players like Mohammed Siraj, who has also been dropped from ODIs.

“In England, without Bumrah, Siraj was unbelievable, fantastic. India won all the Tests where Bumrah did not feature. But in shorter formats, we need to find people who can win you games, whether it's fast bowling or spin. Find spinners who can come in and take wickets. There is Kuldeep, but what about the rest?" he concluded.
